Speaking
A room should leave with a better question.
Talks and facilitated sessions on community, systems, building and human potential.
500+ Night School sessions since 2018 are the practice behind this.
Why it exists
Organisers need to know what I am actually good at before they book a slot.
This page is that, without the speaker-reel language.
Core idea
I am more useful facilitating a hard conversation than delivering a keynote.
The format should follow the question, not the venue's schedule.
Evidence
Practice and proof:
How I think about it
Twenty people with a problem beats two hundred with a phone out.
If the room cannot ask questions, I am probably the wrong speaker.
How it works
Tell me the audience, the question and what you want them doing the next morning.
I will say no if the format cannot deliver that.
Projects and examples
Context:
Questions and tensions
Fact: Night School is free, weekly and open to all, and has run since 2018.
Interpretation: Facilitation transfers more than inspiration does.
Experiment: Designing talks around one next action per attendee.
Ambition: Sessions people still reference a year later.
Last reviewed: September 2026.
